What is it with hot girls and their roommates?

 

Greetings blogosphere!

I have exciting news! No, I am not ending the blog.

Today marks my directorial debut. It’s a small effort but maybe just the beginning. I decided to go small tech for this video and shot the entire thing on a Sony point and shoot camera. I even used the camera’s built in audio pick-up for the sound. I was able to do the entire shoot in one morning since there was no equipment to set up. I also went low tech during editing. I used the free Windows Movie Maker software. There was a bit of a learning curve since it is very limited editing program but I was able to achieve a cut that satisfied me.

The actors are friends who generously agreed to donate a Saturday morning for my directing gig. Bart is played by Bart Taylor who is also one of the producers of Roomies. Maysen is played by Maysen Michaels.

So without further a-poo, I present Third Wheel.

What’s great for a mid-eastern blizzard? A video game couch!!

Christmas is tomorrow. Sheesh. I don’t have much time to watch my perennial movie faves It’s A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street and the Alistair Sim A Christmas Carol or Scrooge for you purists. Some of you may bemoan the fact that I didn’t include A Christmas Story on this list. Take some rolaids and don’t worry. That movies is the background for unwrapping presents in the morning.

Even though I may not have much time to get in my holiday viewing, you have plenty of time to catch the special holiday edition of Roomies and Mammoth Manor.

It’s raining in L.A!

This is blog worthy news since it happens so infrequently. I know my Least Coast readers want to pee in my cereal because rain is as part of their daily ritual as Sportscenter. Sorry? Not really.

I’ve had some one comment that the blog is just a pimp for Roomies and Mammoth Manor. Where is the original content and commentary that many people love to hate? I have an answer.

Roomies is down to the last 2 episodes of season 1. Also, I will be taking a break from Mammoth Manor to concentrate on submitting screenplays to various workshops and competitions. So, no more Roomies and Mammoth Manor. I will try to give you more posts about my screenwriting endeavors and any amusing, random stories that come my way. Now to the pimping.

12 Days of Funny!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I went to a taping of The Ellen Degeneres Show this week. Don’t judge. I have never seen the show before but it was a lot of fun. Matt Dillon, Ashley Greene, and Tia Torres were the guests. The only bad thing was that her 12 Days of Giveaway was beginning the following day. However, Ellen surprised the entire audience by inviting us back for one of the 12 Days of Giveaway!! So, I will be returning to see the show on the episode that will air on Thursday December 17th. Check your local listings to see what I win. Please be an iMac.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Tomorrow is a busy day for me. Up at 6am to reserve the field for the 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl Flag Football game. Then driving to San Diego for Thanksgiving dinner and NFL bliss with Mom and 2 out of my 3 brothers. My other brother Ken will be enjoying oven roasted turkey goodness with his wife and family in Virginia Beach. Rounding out the day will be the traditional movie marathon at the local cineplex. This year’s selection will include A Christmas Carol, The Road, and either New Moon or Ninja Assasin (always have to throw in a turkey on Thanksgiving).

This week’s Roomies is a special Thanksgiving episode.
